Author Nevada Barr has written 16 books in her series that features park ranger Anna Pigeon. In The Rope, Barr takes us back to the beginning of Pigeon's adventures. It's 1995, and the newly widowed Pigeon moves out of New York City and into Glen Canyon to start her life over.
