The transition of Kevin Smith from the director of movies like Clerks, Mallrats and Dogma to the long-winded, hilarious spoken-word artist/comedian dishing on being too fat to fly a commercial airline, has been an eventful one. Along the way, he hammered on the Superman project but got dumped when Tim Burton signed on to direct.
