There’s so much to do during the 2012 Houston Modern Market, it’s hard for us to choose just one event to spotlight. “It’s just all good,” says market founder Brian Hoffner. On Friday, there’s a Preview Party at which buyers will have the first chance at shopping the market’s treasure trove of furniture, fine art, jewelry and more. On Saturday and Sunday, the market is open to the public, and there are tours by Jason Smith highlighting the city’s best modern architecture. Included on the tour is a residence designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, and the Pennzoil office building by Philip Johnson. Buildings by modernists Hugo Neuhaus, Karl Kamrath and William Jenkins will also be on the tour. Event times and prices vary. Tours take place at 11 a.m. Saturday and noon Sunday. Winter Street Studios, 2101 Winter Street. For information, call 281-463-8300 or visit www.houstonmodernmarket.com. Prices vary per event.
