OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies

More About

But while the character of secret agent Hubert Bonisseur de La Bath was conceived as a straight dramatic role in a series of nearly 90 hugely popular novels by Jean Bruce (actually predating Ian Fleming’s Bond by several years), this 2006 film and a later sequel play it for laughs in Cold War spoofs with Bath as a conceited and politically incorrect oaf. 11:55 p.m. Friday and Saturday. River Oaks Theatre, 2009 West Gray. For information, call 713-866-8881 or visit www.landmarktheatres.com. $7 to $10.
