Petrouchka and Beethoven

Symphony buffs, rejoice. Acclaimed conductor Pablo Heras-Casado — described by the San Francisco Classical Voice as “truly a conductor beyond convenient pigeonholes, with an enormous repertoire” — is returning to Houston after his debut here last July for Petrouchka and Beethoven. This time, he’ll be joined by renowned pianist and Rice University piano professor Jon Kimura Parker, who has performed from New York to Sarajevo. The two will collaborate in an evening featuring works of three of the greats: Schumann, Beethoven, and Stravinsky.
