It’s disillusioning for Eliza when she realizes the glass ceiling is still firmly in place at the architectural firm where she works. “Why is it still like this?” she groans. Playwright and Pulitzer Prize nominee Theresa Rebeck’s black comedy What We’re Up Against, addresses that question, with a huge wallop of humor. Rebeck’s story shows audiences that it’s not just men who are keeping women “in their place,” women do their share of oppressing female co-workers as well. Alley Theatre Acting Company members Chris Hutchison (just seen in the Alley’s production of The Seafarer) and David Rainey are among the cast. 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays, 2:30 and 8 p.m. Saturdays, 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Sundays. Through June 10. Alley Theatre, 615 Texas. For information, call 713-220-5700 or visit www.alleytheatre.org.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: May 11. Continues through June 3, 2012
