More About

After a brief touring sabbatical, the Dave Matthews Band hits the road again for another round of hot fun in the summertime, slinging hashy jams for preppies, middle-aged heshers and confused hipsters alike. The band turned 20 years old in 2011, and is still working on new material for a fall release. Their last album, June 2009's Big Whiskey & the GrooGrux King, was a tribute to their fallen saxophonist LeRoi Moore, who passed away the previous summer due to complications from a rough ATV accident. DMB's almost-yearly jaunts bring out a pretty odd smattering of casual fans and devoted fanatics, though they remain a polarizing act outside of that circle. Of the Class of 1995 roots-rocking jam bands, only Matthews and Co. have managed to become millionaires dozens of times over. Plus they are still known as some of the nicest guys in the music industry even today, and that don't cost a dime.
