''Perry House: Elegance/Violence''

Putting together a quarter-century’s worth of work by a single artist on a gallery wall allows viewers to see the way that artist has grown over the years, the way his style has changed, his focus shifted. That’s true for “Perry House: Elegance/Violence,” currently at the Art Car Museum. In press materials, House’s alternate-reality landscapes are described as “straddling the line between abstraction and realism” and “both beautiful and disturbing.”
