An Evening with Joel Grey

Few actors have the luck to originate a memorable role in a Broadway show; Joel Grey has done it twice. The first was in 1966, when he appeared as the Master of Ceremonies in the hit musical Cabaret. (He won a Tony Award for his stage performance and later earned an Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for his turn in the film version.) Then, in 2003, Grey appeared as the Wizard of Oz in Wicked. During An Evening with Joel Grey, you might get an a cappella version of his signature tune ''Willkommen'' from Cabaret, but don’t expect actor Grey to be in full makeup and costume. That’s because An Evening is more about reminiscing than performing — Grey will talk about his 60-year career on the stage and screen. Along with his Broadway success, he's appeared in dozens of television shows over the years, from 77 Sunset Strip and Dallas to Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Alias. His films include Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins. (That earned him another Golden Globe nomination.)
