The event features an abundance of author appearances, so fans looking to meet their favorite writers and discover some new works to love are in particular luck. The guest of honor is Tanya Huff, author of the darkly hilarious Keeper’s Chronicles, about a woman who keeps the world from ending by managing a bed-and-breakfast with a portal to hell in the basement. Those more attuned to young-adult paranormal mystery books can meet Rosemary Clement-Moore, author of the Maggie Quinn: Girl vs. Evil series.

The event also features an exhibit with some 40 participating artists, film screenings, gaming, a masquerade ball and a writers’ workshop. 2 to 9 p.m Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
