''Bodies Revealed''

It wasn’t all that long ago in the Western world that doctors and scientists were forced to buy stolen corpses to teach or study anatomy, a hang-able offense in some places. Now, thanks to Dr. Roy Glover, the public can witness the marvel of the human body at its most anatomically open. In the ''Bodies Revealed'' exhibit at Moody Gardens, each of the human forms has been painstakingly preserved using a polymer that keeps each individual organ in a flawless, undecaying state. The corpses have been dissected in order to allow viewers to inspect the most intricate workings of our bodies, offering what is for most of us a rare chance to see up close and personally what a human brain, heart and other facilities look like.
