American novelist Cara Black gave her protagonist Aimée Leduc a very cosmopolitan hometown: Paris. In Murder Below Montparnasse, the latest installment in Black's series featuring the France-based female private investigator, Leduc is hired to protect a painting and ends up fighting off several assassins in the effort. As the body count mounts, she realizes the killer might be someone closer to home. Fans can win a chance to tour Paris with Black as guide at today's reading and signing session. This reading is part of the 2013 French Cultures Festival, presented by the Consulate General of France in Houston.
