Da Camera of Houston connects its past and future during today’s Opening Night: 25th Anniversary Celebration. Performers include violinist Kenneth Goldsmith, who appeared with Da Camera during its first season, and members of the Da Camera Young Artist Program. The evening includes a world premiere of Pierre Jalbert's Fanfare Da Camera for brass; Jalbert is the winner of the prestigious Rome Prize and the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center's Stoeger Award. The program continues with Bach's Keyboard Concerto No. 1 in D Minor with pianist and Da Camera Artistic and General Director Sarah Rothenberg as the featured soloist, and concludes with Mendelssohn's Octet for Strings.
