For a solid decade Davy and Peter Rothbart have been collecting odd and often hilarious random communications for the irregularly published FOUND Magazine. Their holdings include all kinds of short notes and letters, everything from discarded birthday cards to a lost list of Draconian dietary instructions for ballerinas, unwanted prison poems to stained homework assignments. Now the Rothbart brothers are on the FOUND Magazine's 10th Anniversary Tour. During their stop here, Davy presents various found artifacts, many of which has been sent into the magazine from readers around the world. He'll also read from his collection of personal essays, My Heart is an Idiot. Meanwhile, Peter performs songs inspired by the discarded scribbles that have found their way into the FOUND holdings over the years. His music is at times moving and at other times laugh-out-loud funny, but most of all it reflects the raw emotion seen in the errant missives that the brothers and their fans found on the streets of cities from Seattle to Seoul. The evening is a fundraiser for Aurora Picture Show and as a special incentive, the first 200 people get a pint glass designed by Burning Bones Press's Carlos Hernandez specifically for the event.
