When comedian Gary Owen tells his kids, “Hey, you didn’t get that from my side of the family,” he’s being literal. Owen, who happens to be white, married a lovely woman who happens to be black. When combing his daughter’s “nappy” hair (his term, not ours) turns into a struggle with tears on both sides, he gives up and tells her, “Take that to your momma — you got that from her side of the family!” Owen is performing his irreverent and hilariously politically incorrect routine at 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 8 and 10:30 p.m. Saturday, 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
