The Iron Fork contest matches two local expert chefs in a battle royale hosted by Haven Executive Chef Randy Evans. The competition features last year's Iron Fork winner — Roost Executive Chef and owner Kevin Nadieri — facing off against a brand-new challenger in a head-to-head cooking competition. The two chefs create two dishes using a secret ingredient and a pantry stocked by Whole Foods Market. At the end of the grueling 45-minute challenge, competitors hand their dishes over to a panel of expert judges, including Evans, Eater Houston Editor Eric Sandler and Houston Press food critic Katharine Shilcutt, all of whom will determine this year’s Iron Fork Champion.
This year, Menu of Menus donates a portion of the proceeds to Kids Meals, a charity that delivers nutritious meals to the front doors of children in need. Tickets, which include food, wine, liquor/beer sampling and entertainment, go fast, so get yours quickly. VIP tickets include early entrance and free valet parking.
