Audiences haven't heard much avant garde rock music at the Alley Theatre. That changes when The Manichean returns to the stage with LOVERS, a concept concert based on the group's album of the same name. ''People can expect a much grander spectacle this time around,'' said singer Cory Sinclair. ''We've had much longer to perfect the details of the performance, as have the staff and crew at the Alley Theatre. Live and in a theatre setting is the way LOVERS is supposed to be experienced, and this is the last opportunity to see such a unique show, a passionate and sometimes aggressive piece about love and loss and transcendence.'' The band recently released a music video on YouTube of highlights from the one-of-a-kind spectacle, called ''Between Orchids & Collar Bones,'' featuring guests like Two Star Symphony and Tyagaraja, that will show you exactly what you're in for: magic.
