How long do you think it takes a group of professional actors, directors and musicians to get a Broadway musical from the point of creation to opening night? Years? Well, normally that's true, but it's perfectly possible to do it in 24 hours as shown by One Night Stand. Fathom is offering moviegoers a chance to watch talents like Rachel Dratch (Saturday Night Live) and Cheyenne Jackson (30 Rock, Glee) participate as part of four teams tasked with creating a short musical from scratch in a single day. One Night Stand follows the headlong rush to beat the clock and complete the assignment, with backstage footage and the final triumph of the finished product. Inspiration for the musicals was provided by random props such as a Zoot suit worn on a children's television show and a pop-up book explaining various phobias.
