The plot to PIG might seem far-fetched, but it’s actually based on a true story. Writer/director Henry Barrial read about a CIA case in which a German citizen of Lebanese descent was held in captivity for six months and, upon his release, sent to Albania. That scenario became the basis for PIG, screening today courtesy of the Southwest Alternate Media Project and Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts. Rudolf Martin plays The Man; he wakes up in a desert with his hands bound and a hood on his head. Worse still, he has no idea who he is or how he got there. His only clue is a piece of paper with ''Manny Elder'' written on it. Is he Manny Elder? Did Manny Elder do this to him? The Man begins to piece together the puzzle, but he isn’t exactly happy about everything he finds. PIG producer and No Budget Film School founder Mark Stolaroff will be on hand to answer questions about the film after the screening.
