Ed Wood's Plan 9 From Outer Spaceis the kind of film that inspires other filmmakers — not because it's a hidden gem of genius, but because the tale of space aliens resurrecting the dead in order to conquer the Earth is proof positive that unless you're James Nguyen and trying to finish Birdemic: Shock and Terror, you can't possibly make a worse film. The folks at the River Oaks Theatre are well aware of how tragically awful the movie is, and that's why it's being presented as part of the Bad Movies for Bad People series. BMFBP encourages heckling of truly unfortunate cinematic mishaps…something that is helped a great deal by the excellent bar at the River Oaks.
