The River Oaks Chamber Orchestra principal string bass player Sandor Ostlund takes the spotlight for the upcoming ROCO Chamber Concert, part of a series featuring the group's individual musicians. The afternoon concert features an eclectic blend of classic and contemporary music, including Edgar Meyer's Good Beginnings and McGlynn's Jigs, Frank Proto's A Carmen Fantasy, François Rabbath's Ètude de Concert and Johann Sebastian Bach's Prelude from Suite no. 2. Ostlund, who holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts from Rice University and is the Associate Professor of Double Bass at Baylor University, has been performing with ROCO for five years.
