Catastrophic Theatre is staging a production of There is A Happiness That Morning Is, Mickie Maher's comedic, rhyming ode to poet William Blake. Sound familiar? That may be because Catastrophic performed the devastatingly appealing show to sold-out houses just two years ago.
Recommending the show to ''anyone that has ever been in love,'' Catastrophic Theatre helmsman Jason Nodler says the play contains a line that neatly sums up the company's decision to revisit the play so soon: '''You find a skin you never knew was there/And this is happiness, and this is rare,''' Nodler recites. Happiness features Amy Bruce, Troy Schulze, and Kyle Sturdivant in their original roles. Later this fall, Catastrophic continues its love affair with Maher premiering The Pine, a new play written specifically for the group.
