More About

No word yet if, in the event that the world doesn't in fact end by December, Friday's "Last Summer on Earth" concertgoers will be eligible for refunds due to false advertising. Probably not. But why not celebrate the supposed last summer on Earth with some of the best bands who put out some of the first CDs or cassettes some of you ever bought? You may not love those songs now, but you know you did back then. A summer full of ten-minute John Popper harmonica solos in the middle of Blues Traveler's "But Anyway" may hasten the end of our precious mudball, and seeing a Steven Page-less Barenaked Ladies is just cruel if sadly now the usual. As for Cracker, they've visited Houston a couple of times in the past few years, with lead singer David Lowery fronting both Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven on a May 2011 Fitzgerald's bill. Break out your JNCOs and No Fear shirts for this one.
