Rod Stewart: No Faces, but fewer Sinatra-style songs on this tour.

Now free from the shackles of his multi-volume Great American Songbook albatross, Rod "The Mod" Stewart tours with a set list full of his own biggest hits plus a few choice covers. He's taking his swing at Tom Waits's "Downtown Train" on this jaunt, if that perks your interest; of course, you'll also hear "Young Turks" and "Hot Legs," so don't worry. (Sadly, he's not digging into the Faces bag this time around like he has in the past.) On this summer tour, Stewart is joined by the bewitching Stevie Nicks, who came through town on a solo excursion just last year. Expect plenty of her dynamite '80s staples ("Stand Back," "Edge of Seventeen") and a few of her signature Fleetwood Mac tunes. And Mac fans, rejoice — Nicks should be returning to these parts yet again with that band in 2013.
