Some people were born to lay tile; some were born to be policemen; Slash was born to play guitar. Now that he seems to be free and clear of the albatross that was Guns N' Roses, maybe people will shut up and let him explore. March's "reunion" rumors and ensuing struggle with Axl Rose around the band's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ended up imploding any chance that anything would ever happen. But fear not; Slash seems to have found a worthy foil in Myles Kennedy, whose pipes can handle the old Guns and Velvet Revolver material ably. They even managed to record a new disc, last May's Apocalyptic Love, which will shut the fool mouth of anyone still crying for a Rose and Slash reteaming. You just haven't heard "Halo" or "We Will Roam Yet," you dig? Kennedy is a vocal chameleon and a great front man to boot.
