Mr. McCartney, or Sir Paul, was one-half of the core songwriting arm of modestly influential British rock quartet the Beatles for a decade. That band released a gang of well-received albums and singles, and even some films, in the mid-to-late '60s before calling it quits in 1970. McCartney branched out as a solo artist and would make a splash on his own and with Wings, plus make a career-defining appearance on The Simpsons in 1995. The Beatles' own material has endured among a small cadre of fans, with most of McCartney's set list devoted to their radio hits. Here's hoping he finds time for his soundtrack smash "Spies Like Us" in his Minute Maid set.

Are you serious??  You are calling the Beatles a "modestly influential British rock quartet"!  Where did you get your music education?  I would fire you in a heart beat for writing this piece.  I can't believe the Houston Press didn't edit this piece of trash you wrote.  Do your homework.  You are an embarrassment to the city of Houston and to the Houston Press.  The Beatles are one of the most influential bands of the 20th century.
