Noble herself has created Alla Stazione Termini (Termini Station), a work inspired by her travels to Italy last summer. Stazione Termini explores the interactions between people as they go about their commutes and travels and is set to a soundtrack that incorporates the sounds from an actual station. “The first three minutes or so is all the sounds you would hear at a train station, the comings and goings of trains, some chatter, the click-clacking of heels.”
Teoma Naccarato, also from Canada, contributes a work that features technology in a prominent role. “She’s done a work where the different sounds and movements that the dancers make onstage affect a projection that’s being screened while they’re dancing.”
