If you’ve got 30 minutes, cookbook author Bobby Deen has a recipe for you. Deen, the son of food-empire queen Paula Deen, signs copies of his newest book, Bobby Deen’s Everyday Eats, today at Brazos Bookstore. Everyday Eats is a collection of 120 new recipes, all of which total 350 calories or less each and take just 30 minutes or less to prepare. Deen says he loves “finding a fast route to big flavor.” The ten-chapter book features recipes for meatless entrées, soups, salads, seafood and more. Among our favorites? Turkey meatballs with a ten-minute marinara sauce, a Cajun ratatouille bake and a quick ambrosia, each of which can easily be added to a home cook’s repertoire while living up to Deen’s Everyday Eats title.
