Where to Eat on Valentine's Day

You and your Valentine have two menu options on Valentine's Day at Eleven XI. Choose either a three-course meal for $190 per couple or a four-course meal for $225 per couple. For the three-course dinner, enjoy soup or salad to start, followed by a main course of two 6-ounce filet mignons with one 16-ounce broiled lobster tail to share. Choose from a variety of confections prepared in-house for the dessert. If you choose the four-course meal, you'll receive all the three-course menu items as well as your choice of Gulf shrimp cocktail, jumbo lump crab cake or buffalo carpaccio. Add wine, beer or cocktail pairings to each course for $50 or $100 extra.

For $150 per couple, chef Monica Pope has prepared a four-course Valentine's menu featuring tuna sashimi tempura with orange chile sauce, wasabi and roe, a cutlet of antelope with red onion-red eye cream gravy, and shiitake mushroom dumplings with a blue cheese-honey cream sauce. Enjoy white chocolate challah bread pudding with passion-fruit custard sauce for dessert. Add wine pairings for $30 per person.

Triniti Restaurant + Bar

Triniti will offer a six-course Valentine's dinner perfect for sharing with someone for $100 per person. The option to pair wines with each course is available for $50 per person.

Hubbell & Hudson Bistro

This Valentine's Day, Hubbell & Hudson Bistro will offer a four-course dinner for $84 per person. It will feature braised short rib ravioli covered in a parmesan truffle sauce, red wine-braised octopus served with crispy pork, and Akaushi strip served with a parsnip puree. Indulge your sweet tooth with deconstructed s'mores for dessert.

Frank's Americana Revival

Enjoy down-home classic dishes at Frank's Americana Revival for Valentine's Day. The restaurant will offer a $65 per person four-course prix fixe meal with options ranging from country ham, white bean and mustard green soup for the starter; a fried Gulf oyster salad with corn, jalapeño relish and spicy buttermilk dressing; buffalo tenderloin with jalapeno cheese grits; a butternut squash taquito and smoky chile aioli; and a warm double chocolate brownie cake with vanilla bean ice cream.

Fleming's will offer a three-course special prix fixe Valentine's menu February 13-15. Feast on pan-seared scallops with goat cheese polenta and grape tomatoes, and the Fleming's salad or the Caesar salad to begin the meal. Main-course selections include a petite filet mignon with baked blue crab, a béarnaise sauce, potatoes, and either pecan-crusted salmon or an 8-ounce lobster tail. Conclude the meal with sweet cinnamon sugar doughnuts with a lemon custard and blueberry dipping sauce. Items are priced individually.

Sale-Sucre

Take your loved one to Sale-Sucre on Valentine's Day for a three-course prix fixe dinner for $53 per person. Select from either sautéed scallops with saffron cream or a goat cheese chestnut salad for the first course, followed by either almond trout and vegetables or a filet mignon with mushrooms and mashed potatoes for the entrée. Dessert selections include either St. Valentin strawberries or chocolate mousse.

Funky Chicken

Say "I love you" with a Southern meal complete with fried chicken and all the fixings, plus a bottle of wine. Funky Chicken will offer a Valentine's Day dinner for two featuring a whole chicken, two sides and two buttermilk biscuits with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot rosé for $99.95. Enjoy this meal during the week of Valentine's Day, beginning on Monday, February 10. Side options include mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, funky slaw, roasted baby carrots, brussels sprouts, potato salad, quinoa salad and fries. Of course, no Valentine's meal would be complete without something sweet, so Funky Chicken will have vanilla bread pudding and an "Every Funky Thing" cookie.

Tila's

Take your honey to Tila's for a romantic à la carte meal (a guitarist and vocalist will help set the mood). Choose an appetizer — ceviche negro, Swiss cheese soufflé or lump crab meat tostada — followed by a main course, including beef tenderloin medallions, grilled shrimp enchiladas or chicken manchego. Dessert options include coconut flan and ancho fudge pie Valentine hearts. Pair this meal with a full or half bottle of Champagne to make the night über-special.

Carmelo's Italian Restaurant

Make reservations for a Valentine's dinner on either Friday, February 14, or Saturday, February 15. This Italian restaurant will offer a variety of antipasti dishes, such as crispy cheese ravioli and carpaccio di filetto, as well as a selection of pasta plates and main dishes — lobster ravioli, potato gnocchi, rigatoni con pollo and osso bucco. Share a couple of pastries for dessert, or just enjoy the complimentary chocolate truffle and biscotti.

Etoile Cusine et Bar

If you can't head to Paris for Valentine's Day, make a reservation at Etoile — it's the next best thing to being in France. Etoile will serve a three-course dinner with starter options of tuna tartare, lobster bisque, warm goat cheese salad or seared duck foie gras. Main-course options include Chilean sea bass, scallops with butternut squash, beef tenderloin and beef short ribs (one meal!), or a foie gras-stuffed pheasant breast. The two dessert options are divided into one option for the lady and one for the man (or whatever) — however, you may make your decision as you please. For the madame, Etoile will offer a raspberry and white chocolate entremet with vanilla ice cream, and for the monsieur, Etoile will offer a molten chocolate cake with passion-fruit sauce and coconut sorbet.
