Cool Brains! Inprint Readings for Young People: Susan Cooper: Ghost Hawk

Children’s author Susan Cooper has been compared to Tolkien and C.S. Lewis for her ability to weave compelling, powerful fantasies about epic struggles between good and evil. Winner of the prestigious lifetime Margaret A. Edwards Award, the Newbery Medal and two Carnegie Honor Awards, Cooper’s in Houston to read from and sign her newest release, Ghost Hawk, as part of the Cool Brains! Inprint Readings for Young People series. The historical novel chronicles the meeting of Little Hawk, a Native American, and John Wakely, a white settler in the early 17th century. Cooper will also take questions from the audience. As with most Cool Brains! events, a large crowd is expected, so arrive early to get a good place in the signing line. (It’s first come, first served.)
