Randall Flinn’s From One Heart provides the title for Ad Deum Dance Company’s spring show. The group’s artistic director, Flinn crafted an uplifting work with a powerful message of love. The concert also features Love in Blood, a premiere by Limón Dance Company member Durell Ron Comedy. Moody and reflective yet filled with the joy of living, takes its inspiration from the folk qualities of the Tom Waits and Gavin Bryars composition the dance is set to. Also on the program is former Alvin Ailey dancer Freddie Moore’s My Soul, which Ad Deum originally performed during the company’s annual New York City tour. The company will reprise Doug Varone dancer Ryan Corriston’s Exodus, a piece about the ordeals experienced by human sex workers and the often perilous journey toward freedom.
