A Fertle Holiday

Radio Music Theatre’s A Fertle Holiday has been selling out shows for more than two decades. That’s because the silly charmer is riotously funny and as sweet as the butter pie the characters of this story gobble up every season. The extensive Fertle family and their friends are all played by Steve Farrell, Vicki Farrell and Rich Mills, the three actors who make up the cast of every Radio Music Theatre show. Think Greater Tuna meets Carol Burnett, and you’ve got the basic picture of the oddballs in this play, all of whom hail from small-town Texas. It’s the best annual Christmas show for grownups in the city. And you can throw back a beer or sip a glass of wine all through the night. Take a friend or ten, then sit back and get jolly at 8:30 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, and 8 and 10:30 p.m. Saturdays. Through January 10. 2623 Colquitt. For information, call 713-522-7722 or visit www.radiomusictheatre.com. $22.
Thursdays, Fridays, 8:30 p.m.; Saturdays, 8 & 10:30 p.m. Starts: Nov. 20. Continues through Jan. 10, 2008
