ABC's Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition -- Mystery Houston Reality Star Weighs in at Discovery Green

It's the moment this show's "super-obese" subjects, along with their friends and family, wait for after a year of diet and exercise, and an attempt to drop half their body weight: the final weigh-in.

A cast member from season two of ABC's Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition will be stepping on the scale at Discovery Green this Friday night, and you're invited. The show's producers are hoping 500 people attend the event.

Who is she? "Her name is not allowed to be released yet," says Lacey Doxtader, a producer with ABC. What we do know: She's from Houston.

Why should you go?

For one thing, it's a chance to meet trainer Chris Powell, featured on the show, as well as on The 650-Pound Virgin. For another, they'll be doing giveaways including gift cards and iPods. But the main reason, of course, is to turn on the television and see your own face.

"There's a good chance they'll be on TV," says Doxtader.

The event takes place at 7:30 p.m., and all participants will be asked to sign waivers. They are also asked to dress nicely -- no shirts with logos, no all-black or all-white.

We're guessing there won't be any cake.

RSVP to [email protected] with your full name, e-mail address, phone number and the number of people in your party and they'll forward details as they are available. Children under 14 not admitted; anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian present to sign their release.
