Twelve-year-old Miguel just can't keep quiet. He's a chatterbox, a bocón. In the play Bocón, written by Lisa Loomer and directed by Talento Bilingüe Artist-in-Residence Angeles Romero, Miguel flees a Central American regime for the freedom of the United States. When he's separated from his parents and forced to take the journey alone, the usually big-mouthed Miguel loses his voice. The mythical Mexican figure La Llorona, or "The Weeping Woman," accompanies the silent Miguel. Their friendship gives Miguel the courage to complete his journey and eventually reclaim his voice. 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 3 p.m. Sundays. Through February 14. 333 South Jensen.
