Eat Drink Man Woman

There’s nothing better than a good wine accompanied by a good film and good friends. Brasil is offering a whole patio of friends today, along with My Table magazine’s Foodie Flick Night series of food and wine-themed films. This installment features Ang Lee’s delectable 1994 hit Eat Drink Man Woman. The story follows Mr. Chu, the greatest chef in Taipei, and his three beautiful daughters. Each of the young women is unmarried, and at the start of the film, they have very different ideas about romance. The art of food and cooking combines with the art of love to make a charming film that New York Times critic Janet Maslin called “wonderfully seductive.” Eat Drink Man Woman explores all the wonderful complexities of life’s most basic desires. Enjoy the film on the patio at sunset. 2604 Dunlavy. For information, call 713-528-1993 or visit Free.
