The Prince of Denmark is transported to a Steampunk sideshow in the Trebuchet Players’ production of Hamlet. Directed by Kathy Drum, Hamlet is reset to the Gilded Age with vaudevillian actors taking on the roles of the prince and the many conspirators who surround him as punishment for having broken the “to thine own self be true” rule onstage. Aaron Echegaray plays Hamlet, Jonathan Gonzalez appears as Claudius, Cheryl Tanner as Gertrude and Clarity Welch as Ophelia.
