H&M Set to Open Third Houston Area Store in Katy W/ Bonus David Beckham Photo

H&M has announced it's opening its third store in the Houston metro area and this time Katy Mills Mall will be the location for H&M's approximately 23,000 square foot store set to open in Fall 2014.

Not only will this location have all the things we love about H&M, - great prices, great style, and not one sales associate in sight for a price check - but it will also have "store in store" sections for accessories, lingerie, maternity, and its plus-size line H&M+.

It took a while for Houston to get an H&M store (Dallas and Atlanta have had multiple locations for years) but in 2012 our prayers were answered with the opening of 2 stores in Baybrook Mall and Willowbrook Mall. Now, with the addition of this third store, I would say we are on par with our fellow metropoles.

H&M has been in the news quite a bit these last few weeks. In fact, I would say it is having the best January ever.

Earlier in the month, the mega brand launched i's first ever sportswear line named Go Gold. Inspired by the Olympic team from native Sweden, the line promises to be well priced (about half the price for the same products from Nike or Lululemon...thank God!) and well designed for both functionality and style. No more old T-shirts to the gym; get excited.

Global 100 listed H&M as one of the most sustainable corporations in the world. Being that H&M is a fast fashion brand, many of which are known for producing cheap clothing through cheap labor practices, inclusion on this list says a lot about the brand's commitment to its green living initiatives.

And every woman (and some men) are quite aware that H&M hired soccer star turned international man of shirtlessness David Beckham to headline its newest bodywear campaign, including a Super Bowl ad of note. (See below for Beckham in all his shirtless AND pantless glory.)

Pretty good start to 2014.

Hopefully, a store within the Beltway is coming soon (rumors of a Downtown location have been swirling since last year), but for now we are thankful for the three we have.

I'll keep you posted on any possible Beckham appearances.
