Help Us Raise Money for Former Chronicle Critic Eric Harrison's Funeral

As you may recall, I wrote two weeks ago about the sudden passing of Eric Harrison, former Chron critic and writer for the Los Angeles Times. I may have also mentioned how he was one of the first professionals I met in the movie writing biz, and his assistance was instrumental in helping me my getting my critical shit together.

We learned earlier this week that Eric's family is having difficulty raising the $6,000 needed for his funeral services. The Houston Film Critics Society has set up an account with the crowdfunding site Funeral Fund. Go here to donate what you can. In just over two days, we've raised over $2,000.

The campaign ends December 17. Please give what you can so one of the most respected writers our city ever produced can be given a proper burial.
