Lemonade Stand

Hope Stone Dance's newest production, the three-week rep program Lemonade Stand, was inspired by summertime. Executive Director Jane Weiner wanted to invoke the rollicking, carefree sensibility of the Nat King Cole song "Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Days of Summer." The line-up for the first two weekends will include Deux Tango with Connor Walsh and Melody Herrera and Don't Bruise the Water, an athletic piece Weiner created a few years ago especially for dancer Courtney Jones. Recently on tour with Wicked, Jones left the show at the end of its local run in order to make Houston her home. During the third weekend, Hope Stone will be joined by Santa Barbara's Infinite Movement Ever Evolving for a mini-festival. 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Through August 28. Barnevelder Movement Arts Complex, 2201 Preston. For information, call 713-526-1907 or visit www.hopestoneinc.org. $18.
