Sit back in a rocking chair and listen as voices from the Third Ward, including musician Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown and artist Jesse Lott, reminisce about the neighborhood. Virginia Prescott's audio installation was produced by the teenagers in Project Row Houses' Art/Life program with help from the folks at KPFT. The project's firsthand accounts evoke both the Third Ward's glory days and its decline; stories about picking figs, juke joints, hard times and segregation conjure ghosts from the walls of the shotgun houses-turned-exhibition spaces.
