Revolve Dance: Nexus

Revolve Dance Company's signature explosive movement will be on full display in the fall concert Nexus. The evening-length repertory program includes work by New York-based choreographer Wes Veldink, company co-directors Amy Cain and Dawn Dippel, and company member Matt Dippel. One of the most anticipated pieces of the evening is Cain's work inspired by Aung San Suu Kyi, the esteemed Nobel Peace Prize Laureate who spent 15 years in house arrest as punishment for her work to bring democracy to Burma.

Dawn Dippel tickles the funny bone with a comedic look at relationships gone sour. The piece is an insider's view of the female perspective danced to the indie music of Pomplamoose. Dawn and brother Matt Dippel will also present their collaboration, a new work of jazz movement that features the company's technical precision. Ad Deum Dance Company joins Revolve as guest artists for the evening.
