We take beer very seriously around here, and a disappointing weather forecast isn't going to stop our signature event, the 5th Annual BrewFest, from taking place this Saturday. The epic beer-sampling festival is going on, rain or shine, but we did hedge our bets just a little.
“BrewFest is one of our most important events that we put on each year,” said Houston Press Publisher Stuart Folb. “There's no way we're going to let a little rain stop us. We're just moving everything inside, and we can all have a fun and cozy time together.”
The cavernous space at Silver Street Station has plenty of room for tasting craft beer (more than 150 types), enjoying local eats from BanBan's Cuisine, Buttz Gourmet Food Truck and Fuzzy's Taco Shop, and jamming to live music by Positive Disturbance, Lost Element and Hounds of Jezebel. If only all of our problems could be solved this easily.
