The Devil’s Carnival

Terrance Zdunich and Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw) were responsible for releasing Repo! The Genetic Opera in 2008. And by all rights, that film shouldn’t have existed. What are the odds that you could get Anthony Stewart Head, Paris Hilton, Paul Sorvino and Sarah Brightman into a bloody rock opera that involved the forced repossession of medical transplants and devices on still living victims? Fans attended the screenings in droves, ensuring the film’s place as a modern cult classic.

Zdunich and Bousman are looking to repeat the process with their new film, The Devil’s Carnival. Starring Sean Patrick Flanery and Jessica Lange in addition to returning Repo! cast members like Alexa Vega, Bill Moseley and Nivek Ogre, The Devil’s Carnival follows three sinners who stumble upon a carnival run by Satan himself and are forced to confront their trespasses endlessly.

The quality of the film’s music promises to stand up to Zdunich and Bousman’s outstanding quality, too, with appearances by Emilie Autumn and Slipknot’s Shawn Crahan confirmed.

The Houston screening will feature appearances by Zdunich and Bousman as well as YouTube personality Hannah Minx, who has a role in the film. There will be a Q&A, costume contests and a Repo! singalong. This road show presentation is likely to be the only time you’ll get to experience The Devil’s Carnival until it makes its way to home video, so don’t miss the opportunity. 9:30 p.m. Alamo Drafthouse West Oaks, 2700 Highway 6 S.
