“The Great Texas Sculpture Roundup”

“The Great Texas Sculpture Roundup” ain’t no cattle call. The exhibit features work by Texas artists The Art Guys, Paul Kittleson, Troy Woods and Sharon Kopriva and two dozen other artists that represent a who’s who amongst Lone Star sculptors. You’ll see tigers’ eyes made from colored plastic cups in a chain link fence, flowering vines created from twisted bronze, bedazzled shoes, and wood and steel used to make either lips or a vagina…or both. Regular viewing hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. Through August 2. Art Car Museum, 140 Heights Boulevard. For information, call 713-861-5526 or visit www.artcarmuseum.com. Free.
Wednesdays-Saturdays. Starts: May 2. Continues through Aug. 2, 2009
