Queen is getting its own rockin’ symphony concert, The Music of Queen: A Rock Symphony. The show, led by conductor Brent Havens, combines classic rock with classical symphonic music. Via press materials, Havens said he wanted “to keep the foundation of the music as close to the originals as we could and then add additional colors to enhance what Queen had done.” Expect to hear new versions of some of Queen’s most famous hits, including “We Are the Champions” and “Another One Bites the Dust.” 8 p.m. The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, 2005 Lake Robbins Drive. For information, call 281-363-3300 or visit www.woodlandscenter.org.
