Trailer Park: Rob Zombie's The Lords Of Salem

The newly-released trailer for Rob Zombie's The Lords Of Salem rolls everything I love about his movies into one package, and then Alejandro Jodorowsky's all over that pile. I hate scenes of people being burned alive, but well, Zombie made it look rad.

Zombie has proved time and again that he is a director to be reckoned with, even if his films have a sheen of hokum to them. But Salem looks stupidly stunning. It looks like he stepped his game up on this one.

This ain't House Of 1000 Corpses, though I love that one with my whole heart.

Salem's supposed plot, dealing with that dang ol' demon rock music and witches out for blood and gore, seems promising too. The soundtrack should be worth it too.

He told the media a few months back that Salem would be like "if Ken Russell directed The Shining".

Sold.

Salem hits screens sometime next year, with an exact release date unknown.
