Move over, Target -- Banana Republic is the latest destination for high-end design house capsule collections. On June 7, beach and casual-wear designer Trina Turk will be launching her 60-piece collection -- chock-full of bright colors and splashy prints -- at urban sophisticate-driven, workwear-centric retailer Banana Republic.
Trina Turk is known for her "poolside-chic" aesthetic, which includes swimwear as well as casual separates, cocktail dresses and accessories. Her designs are ultra-feminine without being precious, and Turk's point of view is decidedly upbeat and multicultural, mixing bold patterns and bright colors to achieve a fun-but-sophisticated sportswear collection.
The Trina Turk for Banana Republic Collection will feature 60 pieces ranging in price from $34.50 to $150, and launches nationwide in select BR stores on June 7; the collection will also be available online. To celebrate the Trina Turk launch, the Houston Galleria is hosting an in-store party at 5 p.m. on June 7, at which time the entire collection will be available for sale to the public.
