Young Frankenstein

We're pretty sure Mary Shelley didn't have Young Frankenstein in mind when she wrote her classic horror story. The Mel Brooks film written by Gene Wilder is a parody that includes an abundance of wordplay and (so as not to be outdone by Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein) a tails-and-top hat rendition of "Putting on the Ritz" by the doctor and his oversize creature. Gene Wilder stars as Dr. Frankenstein, and Peter Boyle is the monster, with Marty Feldman, Cloris Leachman and Teri Garr in supporting roles. 7:30 p.m. Discovery Green, 1500 McKinney.
