The music is great at the hideaway. I think they have a new booking agent - the guy has booked rooms like The Vatican, The Velvet Elvis and The Orchid Lounge. I am looking forward to seeing lots of bands at The Hideaway. I hear Joe King Carrasco is playing August 20th. That should be an insane show. I remember some crazy Joe King shows at Fitz.
Best Steak Night Houston 2007 - The Hideaway on Dunvale
It's not as cheap as some steak nights — most notably the free ones hosted by PJ's on West Gray — but it's hard to beat The Hideaway's 16-ounce rib eye, baked potato and a salad, all for only $12. The Hideaway offers two steak nights, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and (during crawfish season) two crawfish boils (all you can eat for $16.25 or $3.25 per pound) on Fridays and Sundays. That their kitchen's open for other stuff until 1 a.m., and that they have live bands on weekends, undoubtedly appeals to the Richmond Avenue cruisers and newly divorced mid-lifers, but we like the proximity to the AMC Studio 30 Dunvale movie theater across the street for a dinner-and-a-movie date.
OMG OMG !! LOVE there crawfish. GREAT job Homer Harris and the crew, they are soo nice and sweet. I will be back when its crawfish season again.
My family and I celebrated my son's 2007 High School Graduation dinner and had we had a fantastic time! The food was terrific, the drinks were the bomb and we had a wonderful time despite aweful weather that day! Thank You for allowing us to celebrate such a wonderful accomplishment in our son's life! Oh by the way we're having dinner @ your place again tonight!
