Best Breakfast Houston 2008 - Goode Company Taqueria

It's a good thing this taqueria is a weekend-only breakfast spot. If not, we'd be sinking our teeth into the migas seven days a week. You might have to wait in line to place your order, but once you have, sit back and have some of Goode Company Taqueria's fresh-squeezed orange juice on the relaxing patio or the funky indoor area, and soon enough, your name will be called. Hot plates of gorgeous pecan waffles are light with real homemade flavor. Savory egg dishes are all over the menu; have them with meats mixed in, or go for a succulent side of quail. The coffee's great, but with Taqueria's laid-back vibe, no one will look twice if you insist on getting one of the thick cinnamon chocolate shakes to start your morning right.

Oh please, I had breakfast here and I was not blown away. Actually i was dissapointed. I can think of several places with better breakfast. But i agree with the above poster. The Breakfast Club has the best breakfast hands down!! YOu can't lose with their fried catfish and grits, or grilled porkchops and eggs. Just don't go on sat b/c there is always a line to get in. Lastrada's and Mia -downtown are yummy choices too.

Alright, I have nothing against Goode Company, but how in the world is a place that serves breafkast only on the weekends win best breakfast!??!?! Three words, THE BREAKFAST KLUB!!. Now come on. Have you guys eaten there? The grits are to die for and heavenly all at the same time. You die, then go to heaven eating those grits. I don't know what they put in them, but you can't get good grits anywhere in town. Making grits is an art. The wings and waffles, wait a minute and pause to savor the flavor. Flavor is definitely something that is not missing at THE BREAKFAST KLUB. Not even in the coffee. Karmel macchiato is my favorite. Sad, so sad to here that THE BREAFKAST KLUB did not win. Everything is awesome at THE BREAKFAST KLUB. Houston has gone mad. In 2007 a Bagel/Coffee shop won best breakfast, what is that all about also. You can't even get some breakfast items from there. How did they pull that off? They must have paid somebody. You all should be ashame of yourselves. Shame Shame Shame.
